A friend made me aware of a problem with the way this blog displays in Internet Explorer 6. If you're using IE 6, you'll probably see a gap at the end of the first post on the main page that's not supposed to be there.
This isn't a big deal, but if it bothers you, you might want to upgrade to the latest version of IE. Or try Firefox. It's a good browser, and it's free.
2009 UPDATE: This blog has a new (purple) theme, but I'm told the new theme also doesn't work properly with IE 6. I apologize for this. The IE 6 browser has a bad reputation.
Many of the photos on this blog will look better in Firefox than in Internet Explorer. I use Firefox and I definitely recommend it.
My WordPress blog is experiencing displaying problems with IE6 as well. This browser sucks.
Unfortunately, I've read that about 30% of Internet users are still on IE6, even though it's old and out-of-date! I hope those people will upgrade or switch to other browsers soon.
I've changed the blog's theme since I first posted this. Haven't learned yet whether this one works any better in IE 6. I still encourage users to upgrade to a newer browser, although I know not everyone can (some workplaces still require IE 6).
Well, it turns out this theme doesn't work in IE 6, either. I've updated the post to reflect that.
This is displaying better in IE6 than it did the other day. Most of the royalty blogs seem to have problems displaying in IE6, including our new blog at The Royal Forums. I seriously need to upgrade this browser. Everything looks fine in Firefox. BTW, the problems are also showing in AOL. Not sure if AOL is powered by IE6 or what's going on.
Elspeth, thank you — I appreciate the feedback. I'm glad it's displaying better now. AOL's browser is based on IE and I wouldn't be surprised if it's still IE 6. I always used to tell AOL users to open another browser while signed onto AOL because AOL's own browser is so buggy.
I'm so impressed with the way you've integrated the blog into the Royal Forums — very well done!
