Royal Book Cover of the Month – February 2009

My favorite book cover of the month:


 

The Pleasure Palace by Kate Emerson is a novel about a lady-in-waiting, Jane Popyngcourt, in the perilous court of England's King Henry VIII.

I don't know how historically accurate that dress is, but it's a pretty cover and makes me want to read the book! (And you can actually see part of the cover model's face, which is a nice change from all the headless-woman covers recently.)
