  1. I thought Joss Stone did a decent job, but the entire episode was absurd. Even with a bloody leg, limp and bad temper, Jonathan Rhys Myers portrays not an obese, smelly, and foul tempered King Henry, but one who is still thin and attractive. Unless the next episode reveals Anna to be a lesbian, her dislike of Henry makes very little sense.

  2. Well the Tudors is not known for it's historic accuracy. It is the show afterall that achieved the miraculaous merging of Henry's two sisters, Mary and Margaret Tudor into a single person named Margaret Tudor. In real life, Margaret maried James IV of Scotland and was the eventual grandmother of Mary Queen of Scots, while Mary Tudor maried the much older Louis XII of France, and married Charles Brandon after becoming a widow. In the Tudors the "combined sister" Margaret marries the aged King of Portugal, suffocates him and marries her lover Charles Brandon. I guess it's not supposed to make sense..it's supposed to entertain.

  3. I couldn't help but notice while watching this that Henry VIII looks as young as his daughter Mary!

I've only seen the first episode of The Tudors, and it didn't impress me, but I have to admit this clip was entertaining. Joss Stone seems to have done a good job.

  4. The death of Anne Boleyn left me stunned throughout season 3. I didn't find any attachment with Jane Seymour portrayed by Annabelle Wallis but immediately got attached by Anne of Cleves played by Joss Stone, though I have never heard her singing nor read anything about her in US tabloid magazine, but it's obviously she had done a fantastic job for acting Anne of Cleves, she is very pretty in English court dress and her germane accent is very convincing (well, I never heard germane accent but do believe that's how it is!)
