On March 3, the Queen presented poet Gillian Clarke (far right) with her Gold Medal for Poetry, watched by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy (center) at Buckingham Palace in London.
Also on March 3, the Prince of Wales met members of the group United Haitians in the United Kingdom (UHUK ) during a Red Cross Reception in London. The prince thanked volunteers and donors whose efforts are helping to rebuild Haiti after the January 2010 earthquake.
On March 4, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, England, where Her Majesty officially opened the Justice Centre.
While in Warwickshire, the Queen also viewed a performance of the Balcony Scene from "Romeo and Juliet" at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. Afterward she met actors.
