I received an email from Mark Newman, author of The Short Life of Jeffrey Hudson, a short story (available on Kindle) about Jeffrey Hudson, a dwarf at the court of King Charles I. "It's a collection of his thoughts as he falls from a window ledge, which apparently he did once do!" the author says.
Jeffrey Hudson was a real person who led a very colorful life. Definitely a good topic for historical fiction. Thank you to Mark Newman for telling me about this story!
(Want to learn more about Jeffrey Hudson? He is also the subject of a biography by Nick Page called Lord Minimus. I read it a few years ago, and enjoyed it a lot.)
