The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left St Mary's Hospital in London today after spending the night there with their baby son, who was born at the hospital yesterday. Before leaving the hospital, the royal couple spoke briefly to reporters.
"Well, he's got a good pair of lungs on him, that's for sure," Prince William said. "He's a big boy; he's quite heavy. We're still working on a name, so we'll have that as soon as we can."
The Duke and Duchess both said they felt very emotional. "It's such a special time," Catherine said. She added that any parent probably knows what the feeling is like.
Acknowledging the long media vigil outside the hospital before and after the baby prince's birth, Prince William joked, "I'll remind him of his tardiness when he's a bit older, because I know how long you've all been sat out here."
Who does the baby look like? Prince William said, "He's got her looks, thankfully," but Catherine laughingly replied, "No, no, no, I'm not sure about that."
Later William said about the baby's sparse hair, "He's got way more than me, thank God."
When asked if the baby was called George, Prince William merely chuckled and said, "Wait and see." The prince also said he had already changed the baby's nappy (diaper).
After their talk with reporters, the Duke and Duchess went into to the hospital for a little while. When they came back out, the Duke was carrying his son in a baby seat. He put it in the back of the car. Kate sat in the back with the baby, and Prince William drove his family home to Kensington Palace.
It was wonderful to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their beautiful baby Prince George of Cambridge being carried by both parents as they answered questions and looking so in love with each other and their baby!
Prince William is already a hands on father after the first nappy change he did!
The new parents answered questions but made sure no one got into their personal life! Something I respect them for!
God Bless the new parents and their new son!
