Once again it's time to take a sneak peek at some of the new royalty books scheduled for publication next month!

After the Sheikhs by Christopher Davidson. According to the author, the Gulf monarchies (Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain) will inevitably collapse.

Henry VIII: The Life and Rule of England's Nero by John Matusiak. An intimate portrait of a man wholly unfit for power.

Owain Glyndwr: The Story of the Last Prince of Wales by Terry Breverton. This biography explains how Glyndwr came to stir Wales into war against England's King Henry IV.

Berenice II and the Golden Age of Ptolemaic Egypt by Dee L. Clayman. Berenice II, daughter of King Magas of Cyrene and wife of Ptolemy III Euergetes, was one of the most accomplished and powerful Macedonian queens.

John of Brienne by Guy Perry. A biographical study of the knight who became king of Jerusalem, and then emperor of the Latin Empire of Constantinople.

The Congress of Vienna and Its Legacy: War and Great Power Diplomacy After Napoleon by Mark Jarrett. In September 1814, rulers descended upon Vienna to reconstruct Europe, leading to a bold experiment in international cooperation known as the Congress System.

Princesses Behaving Badly by Linda Rodriguez McRobbie. Mini-biographies of dozens of ruthless princesses, including Stephanie von Hohenlohe, Olga of Kiev, and Rani Lakshmibai.

As always, publication dates are subject to change. To see the full list of new royalty books, visit the Books page in November.

If I could only read one of the books listed above, it would (predictably) be the one about Henry VIII because I can never resist a book about Henry VIII. Which book would you choose?
