New royalty books for May 2019 finally posted!

It's too late for a sneak peek, so here's a non-sneaky look back at some of the new royalty titles for May:

Empress of the Taj by Timeri N. Murari. About Indian empress Mumtaz Mahal, in whose memory Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal.

The Shadow King by Lauren Johnson. King Henry VI inherited the crowns of England and France but lost both.

The Song of Simon de Montfort by Sophie Thérèse Ambler. In 1258, frustrated by English king Henry III's refusal to take the advice of his nobles, Montfort seized power.

Meghan by Caroline Jones. This illustrated biography focuses on the Duchess of Sussex as a feminist, influencer, and humanitarian.

Anna of Kleve by Alison Weir. Fictional account of the life of Anne of Cleves, least known of King Henry VIII's six wives.

The full list of new royalty books for May 2019 is available right NOW on the Royalty.nu Books page, and I expect the June book list to be posted in a week or two. In the meantime, you can check this blog for possible updates.

If I could read only one of the books listed above, I would pick the one about Simon de Montfort for no particularly strong reason… it just appeals to me. Which book would you choose?
