Sneak peek at June 2021 new royalty books

The Sneak Peek is a bit sneakier (or at least earlier) than usual this month! Here are some of the royalty-themed titles that publishers are planning to release in June. (As always, publication dates are subject to change.)

Prince Philip's Century 1921-2021 by Robert Jobson. Biography of Queen Elizabeth II's husband, who helped modernize the British monarchy.

Queen Victoria: This Thorny Crown by Michael Ledger-Lornas. This biography focuses on the importance of religion to Queen Victoria.

The King Arthur Mysteries by Timothy Venning. A guide to Arthur's Britain and the early medieval world.

Emperor Frederick II and the Latin East by Guy Perry. How Holy Roman emperor Frederick II helped shape the fate of the kingdom of Jerusalem in the 13th century.

Napoleon: A Life Told in Gardens and Shadows by Ruth Scurr. A biography that follows the emperor's life through gardens, parks, and forests.

In Royal Service to the Queen by Tessa Arlen. Fictional account of the life of Queen Elizabeth II's governess, Marion Crawford.

For the full list, visit the Books page in June. And if you haven't checked out the April and May book lists yet, there's still time to do so…

If I could only read one of the books listed above, I think I'd go for the one about Napoleon and gardens because, well, wouldn't you? If not, which book would you choose?
