Sneak peek at April 2023 new royalty books

The coronation of King Charles III will take place on May 6 in Westerminster Abbey. Why not get ready for his big day by reading up on the king and his family? Here's a sneak peek at soon-to-be-published royalty books! (As always, publication dates are subject to change.)

Charles III: A King and His Queen by Chris Jackson. Photos celebrating the life of King Charles.

Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait by Gyles Brandreth. Starting in 1968, the author kept a record of his conversations with Queen Elizabeth II.

Elizabeth & Philip by Tessa Dunlop. The ups and downs of Queen Elizabeth II and her husband.

George VI and Elizabeth by Sally Bedell Smith. A portrait of the marriage of Elizabeth II's parents, based on letters and diaries.

The Windsors at War by Alexander Larman. How the British royal family put their differences aside and united during World War II.

The Queen and the Mistress by Gemma Holmann. About English king Edward III's wife, Philippa of Hainault, and mistress, Alice Perrers.

Rani Durgawati by Nandini Sengupta. Biography of the warrior queen of Garha Mandla in medieval India.

And that's just a sampling of new royalty books scheduled for publication in April! The full list will be published on the Royalty.nu Books page on April 1. You can also go over there right now to see the February and March book lists.

If I could only read one of the books listed above, my choice would be the one about King Charles III's predecessor Edward III because I love English royal history. Which book would you choose?
