Privacy policy

When you visit this site, third parties (such as Google) may be placing and reading cookies on your browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on this website or for other purposes such as collecting web traffic data.

My Opinion on Cookies

I personally don't think cookies are anything to worry about. I don't bother blocking them from my computer.

However, if you want to delete or block cookies, you can do that in your browser settings and/or with other programs. It won't stop you from using this site.

More Information

You can learn more about browser cookies and how to manage them here.

About Google

Google wants you to know that third-party vendors are serving ads through the Google Adsense ads on this site; you can see a list of Google's vendors here; and you may visit the vendor websites to opt out of cookies if the vendor offers this capability.

Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads based on the sites you visit. You can visit the Google ad and content network privacy policy to learn how to opt out of the use of the DART cookie.

About Affiliate Links

Amazon.com wants me to tell you this: The World of Royalty is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

In other words, I am a member of the Amazon.com Associates program (and I may also use other affiliate programs). If you have cookies enabled and you click on an affiliate link on a World of Royalty site and then buy a book or other product, I will probably receive a commission.

By the way, Amazon.com does NOT tell me who purchased items through its affiliate links, only what was purchased.

Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

Other Cookies

I don't own the computers that host the World of Royalty sites; instead, I use hosting services provided by third parties. In addition, on my blogs I use software that I did not write myself. The hosts and software may be placing and/or reading browser cookies when you visit a World of Royalty site. As I said above, you can block cookies if you want; the sites should still work well enough.

About Blogs & Comments

If you choose to leave a comment, you will be asked for a name and email address. You don't have to give your real name (in fact, I encourage you to use a made-up screen name), and it's OK to use an imaginary email address, too. Your IP address will also be recorded if you leave a comment. All of this information will be kept indefinitely along with your comment and can be used to block spammers and trolls.

Your comment data will be available to Akismet, WordPress's spam-filtering service. Read the privacy notice from Automattic, WordPress's parent company, to learn more.
