Khama: Land of My People
I was contacted by Mark Macauley, who has written a screenplay about Botswana's King Khama III called "Khama: Land of My People." The story takes place in 1895. Threatened with having his people enslaved and his lands stolen,
King Khama outwits Queen Victoria and the British Government, saving his country from colonization.
Visit kingkhamaroyalfilm.org to read a synopsis, pages from the script, and a list of books about King Khama III. You can also read about Khama III at Wikipedia, and you'll find more books about royalty in Botswana on Royalty.nu. (Thank you to Mark Macauley for telling me about his screenplay and website!)
